Passionate about movies and special effects since childhood, Pierre-Olivier Persin began his career in 1994, participating in video games and stage plays and working for a few years for a company specializing in museography.

 

He really began his career in cinema in 1998, working on films by Robert Guédiguian and ROBERTO SUCCO by Cédric Kahn. 

 

He has since worked on more than a hundred feature films, television films or TV series, alternating between auteur cinema (André Dussollier's makeup in EVERYTHING WENT FINE by François Ozon, Claire Denis, Xavier Beauvois or BLUE IS THE WARMEST COLOR by Abdel Kechiche) as well as bigger productions like THE SUBSTANCE, in which he transformed Demi Moore.

 

Pierre-Olivier Persin has also collaborated on foreign productions, such as the Swedish film BORDER, the zombie movie WAR WORLD Z produced by Paramount, or AVENGERS INFINITY WAR.

 

He also worked on the last three seasons of the series GAME OF THRONES. 

 

With Emmanuelle Bercot, he created the autopsy scene and the fake surgery effects for 150 MILLIGRAMS, and transformed Mathieu Kassovitz in NOBODY FROM NOWHERE, or into a boxer marked by life in SPARRING.

 

.Recently, he transformed Pierre Niney into THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO, and created Tahar Rahim's prosthetics for Mr. AZNAVOUR.
